MY TREATMENT APPROACH

Most mental health and emotional distress can be viewed as a loss or deviation from our true self. The drive towards wholeness is innate in all of us. I believe the Universe wants us to live wholly and fully. Therefore, my work as a therapist is not about fixing you, but rather gently helping you remove what might be in the way of your own organic process of healing and guiding you back to who you are truly meant to be.

YES, insurance is accepted! Call or email today to learn how you can afford to invest in your mental health today!

There is a reason you’re struggling right now and I want to help you with it. In a safe and compassionate space, I will sit with you and help you shed light in the dark places so that you can begin to heal and experience peace. My approach to therapy is relational and integrative-I place a great deal of emphasis and value on understanding your inner experience and I draw from many different approaches depending upon the issues you bring to therapy. In sessions, this can look like focusing on everyday interactions with others that leave you feeling anxious or alone and exploring how these feelings might be related to important early relationships, trauma or other experiences. With empathy, respect and even a sense of playfulness when appropriate, I can help you identify coping strategies which may have once been necessary in the past but may no longer serve you. Together we will find new strategies, tools, and perspectives to help you find more freedom and peace. I am consistently awed by the courage of my clients. I am profoundly honored to walk with each of you for a time on your journey.

KAP: KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY

We will be offering a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), ketamine use to complement individual or couples psychotherapy in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical-a medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes the ketamine, & supports us in monitoring outcomes.

Though it is likely that the state regulatory agency will likely adopt the MAPS protocols for best practices with psychedelic assisted psychotherapy, the agency has not handed down these statues and rules as of yet. To ensure compliance and adherence to the best standards of care, SomaPsych is awaiting these guidelines for psychotherapeutic practice. Continue to inquire with us though, as we’re happy to answer your questions!
